On Saturday I stopped in to Whistles in Chelsea to check out what newly appointed cheif executive Jane Sheperdson had done with the place. I have always quite like Whistles in a sort of smasual (smart casual) stay safe kind of thing to go to an interview in but still look like your not wearing high street if ya get what I mean! But my opinions were completely changed when I walked into a store filled with well made, fashion forward, high quality,distinct pieces which are also affordable. Jane Shepherson was the fomer brand director for Topshop and is credited with being the leading British proponent for fast fashion after the vast damand for "boho chic" in 2004-5. Under new direction Whistles is now begginig to reclaim it's roots as being an intependant, stylish and uber cool boutique. I loved this silk biker blouse which could be worn under a coat in the winter or as a leather alternative in the summer. My eye was also caught by this purple mock Herve Leger body con dress, I love the zips that run up the sleeves and think it is an exquisite colour my favourite item were a pair of soft black harem pants complete with visible gold zips....awesome.
